Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.’s primary mission is to produce the finest quality beers and ales. We believe this mission can be accomplished without compromising its role as a good corporate citizen and environmental steward. Founded in Chico in 1980, Sierra Nevada applies resource conservation and reusing/recycling raw materials as guiding operating principles.

While Sierra Nevada has grown to over 400 employees with state-of-the-art brewing and processing equipment, founder/owner Ken Grossman continues to operate the brewery in as ecologically clean and efficient a manner as possible.

As the largest circulation newspaper in one of the most spectacular counties in America, Monterey County Weekly has long been recognized for its thoughtful, provocative and engaging coverage of news, arts and entertainment. Founded in 1988, the newspaper has received scores of California and national newspaper awards over the past 19 years.
