Superdrag

Though many have dubbed Superdrag a punk-pop or power pop band, their music has shown itself to be atop of the aforementioned genres. Taking as much influence from the British Invasion-style pop of the Beatles and the Zombies as My Bloody Valentine and Hüsker Dü, their songs have always combined melodicism and noise in fully distinct fashion. With throaty vocals, often cynical lyrics, and major-minor chord progressions Superdrag is a band’s band that has often gone misunderstood.

Superdrag is the pinnacle act of modern day guitar driven rock. They have managed create a sonic head trip of a sound scape through the constituents of 60’s British invasion, psychedelic rock, American pop, 70’s glam/punk, and 80’s-90’s power pop. The chemical equation yields something familiar yet surprisingly fresh and infectious that never overshadows the fact that each song itself is really good. As a crucial facet of the endangered perpetual rock species, this group has survived and evolved in a formidable fashion.

Got something to say?
